Yesterday I picked out two of my photos that I thought would be interesting (or easier) in pastels. The sunset is 10" x 7", more or less, and the photo was taken in Jamaica last January The lily pads are 10" x 14" from the reflecting pool at Winterthur Gardens. Both done on Wallis sanded paper. Critiques always welcome.

Thank you for sharing your artwork! While it is quite wonderful ( especially like the Winterthur water lillys), I have a question about the images themselves. Did you take the photographs? (not the ones you painted from, but the ones OF the paintings) The images are really well done. The lighting is so even across the whole image. Would you be so kind as to describe your setup?
